Questions and support
Who files TM30 and when?
By law the house master — the owner, landlord or hotel — must notify immigration of a foreigner’s stay within 24 hours of arrival. In practice tenants often file TM30 themselves or together with the owner. Immigration may ask for a new notification after you return from a trip; check with your local office.
What is the 90-day report (TM47)?
A foreigner staying in Thailand for more than 90 consecutive days reports their address to immigration every 90 days on form TM47. The report is usually accepted from 15 days before to 7 days after the due date; late reporting is fined. The report does not extend your visa or permission to stay.
How do I extend my stay (TM7)?
TM7 is the application to extend the period of stay. It is filed at the immigration office before your current permission expires, with a photo, passport copies and documents supporting the reason for the extension. The government fee (usually 1,900 baht) is paid at the office and is not included in the FoxDocs price.
The forms are in Thai — how are they filled in?
Immigration forms are printed in Thai, many also in English. FoxDocs fills the original form and writes a foreigner’s personal data in Latin letters, as in the passport. You can answer the assistant in any language.
Is it free to fill in Thailand forms?
Yes. Filling a form yourself and downloading a clean PDF is free. Filling via chat costs from ฿49 per document, and your first document via chat is free.
Are these the official forms?
Yes. FoxDocs fills the original government forms of Thailand without changing their structure or printed text. FoxDocs is not a government agency: you submit the document yourself.
