Questions and support
What is the difference between the NIE and the TIE?
The NIE is your foreigner identification number in Spain: it is assigned once and never changes. The TIE is the physical residence card for non-EU nationals and shows the same NIE. The NIE is requested with form EX-15, the TIE card with EX-17. EU citizens register their residence with EX-18 instead and receive a certificate with their NIE.
Do I need an appointment (cita previa)?
Almost always: NIE, TIE and EU registration applications are submitted in person at a police station or immigration office (Extranjería) with an appointment booked on the government website. FoxDocs does not book appointments — it prepares the form: print it, sign it and bring it with the originals and copies of your documents.
Is the 790-012 fee included in the price?
No. The government fee is paid separately, usually at a bank, with "Modelo 790, código 012" — for the NIE, TIE and EU registration; some residence permits use a different code. The amount is set by the administration; bring the paid receipt to your appointment. The FoxDocs price does not include government fees.
Which Spanish forms are available, and in what language?
Immigration forms (EX-00, EX-01, EX-10, EX-15, EX-17, EX-18, EX-24, MI-T), Social Security and pensions, SEPE, DGT (vehicles and licences), the Madrid padrón and tax form 145. All forms are official and in Spanish. You can answer in any language: values are written in Spanish and in Latin letters, as in your passport.
Is it free to fill in Spain forms?
Yes. Filling a form yourself and downloading a clean PDF is free. Filling via chat costs from €3 per document, and your first document via chat is free.
Are these the official forms?
Yes. FoxDocs fills the original government forms of Spain without changing their structure or printed text. FoxDocs is not a government agency: you submit the document yourself.
