What this document is

TM.25 (ตม.25, “คำขออนุญาตเพื่ออยู่ในราชอาณาจักรเป็นการชั่วคราวระหว่างขอมีถิ่นที่อยู่”) is an application to the Thai Immigration Commission for permission to remain in Thailand temporarily while the applicant's application for residence is being considered.

It is used by a foreigner who has applied for permanent residence and whose current permission to stay would otherwise end before a decision is made. Immigration decides whether to grant the extension and for how long.

What the form asks for

  • immigration office and date of the application (Buddhist Era year, พ.ศ.);
  • title (Mr./Mrs./Miss), family name, first name, middle name, age, date and place of birth;
  • nationality and race (เชื้อชาติ);
  • passport number, place and date of issue, expiry date;
  • kind of visa, transport, where you arrived from, port and date of arrival, arrival/departure card number;
  • the number of days requested and the reasons for the extension;
  • address in Thailand, who wrote the application and their address;
  • the applicant's and writer's signatures — by hand.

Documents usually attached

  • passport and copies of the data page, visa and latest arrival and extension stamps;
  • proof that the permanent residence application has been filed and is under consideration;
  • other documents immigration requests for your case.

The exact document list, fees and processing time are set by immigration — check with the office before filing.

Where and how to file
