What this document is
หนังสือรับรองเงินเดือน is a salary certificate the employer issues for a foreigner applying for permanent residence in Thailand (TM.9). The Immigration Bureau publishes it as sample 2.9 in the PR application package for round 2568, to be printed on company letterhead.
Page 1 states the employee's position and monthly salary and the total income for 2567 and 2568 (Buddhist Era, i.e. 2024 and 2025) broken down into salary, transport, housing, overtime, tax paid by the company, bonus, dividends and other. Pages 2 and 3 are month-by-month tables for each year. Yearly totals must match the personal income tax returns ภ.ง.ด.91 or 90.
Who fills it in and signs
- the employing company fills it in;
- an authorised director signs every page; the name goes in brackets under the signature;
- the company seal is stamped on every page by hand;
- the foreigner attaches it to the PR application at the Immigration Bureau.
What the form asks for
- date of the certificate;
- the employee: name as in the passport, nationality, age, position, monthly salary;
- income for 2567 and 2568 by item, with yearly totals;
- monthly table for each year: total, salary, transport, housing, overtime, bonus, other;
- the signing director and the company name.
Documents usually attached
- personal income tax returns ภ.ง.ด.91 (or 90) and receipts for the same years;
- the work permit and the employer's company documents;
- the rest of the PR package (TM.9, personal information form, work history check and others).
